Malta regulator suspends Betago’s licence

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) announced that it is suspending its licence to Betago Ltd. The company is therefore no longer authorised to carry out any gaming activity. However, the Malta regulator added that the company is required to provide all registered players access to a facility that allows for the withdrawal of funds from player accounts that are in credit. The decision is subject to appeal in terms of Chapter 583 of the Laws of Malta.

MGA stated that Betago failed to report financial commitments for its operations and did not pay dues to MGA in a ‘timely manner’.

This decision may be subject to an appeal in terms of article 43 of the Gaming Act, Chapter 583 of the Laws of Malta. According to the Malta Business Registry Betago Ltd is a subsidiary of Betago Holding Ltd. The company was established in 2015 and is registered at an address in St Julian’s.?
