MGA suspends Dimsacon Ltd’s licence, second within the week???

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) announced on October 3 that it had suspended the authorisation of Dimsacon Limited, effective from 21 August 2024. This is the second suspension announcement within the week following the suspension of Goldwin Ltd’s Malta licence.??

According to the regulator’s press release, Dimsacon, which held Recognition Notice RN/225/2021, can no longer operate any gaming activities in or from Malta. This suspension was imposed under regulation 8 (1) (f) of the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations (S.L. 583.06), indicating a failure to comply with these specific regulatory requirements.

The MGA’s decision includes provisions under regulation 9, such as regulation 9 (1) (m), highlighting that the reasons behind this action are based on Dimsacon’s failure to meet regulatory standards. However, Dimsacon retains the right to appeal the decision in accordance with article 43 of the Gaming Act (Chapter 583 of the Laws of Malta).
